Fortune Fulfillment // Telluric Bloom
At certain times of year an unassuming cactus at the end of the ally behind my apartment shares the most resplendent blooms - but you can only catch them if you pass by at night or early in the morning. A few years ago I came upon these flowers - called Night Blooming Cereus and was immediately entranced. Such a portal!
I learned that each bloom only lasts one night and I began paying attention to when each bud was going to make its debut, and some times catching them early in the morning when I could manage an early morning walk. I knew that I would eventually make a design with this flower and this past summer I knew it was time. I had the fortune to come across the work of Katie Hess and her Lotus Wei flower essence company and she taught me about the energy of the Night Blooming Cereus. This is the energy of stepping in to our highest calling and allowing ourselves to be seen. It is the energy of fearless creative expression. It is a timely catalyst and ally for our soul's full bloom expression on the earth. This piece is a meditation on the energy current of the earth - the telluric force. The mineral elements that make up every thing in the material world all spin at different speeds and this is what creates the entire spectrum. The crystals in and on the earth broadcast specific energy frequencies and are potent allies for connecting to and harmonizing energy.
As we enter more deeply in to the computer age, the vision I align with is for humans to become more human - more light (hu) mind (man). We are walking crystals, the waters of our bodies, the lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, our bones, the pituitary etc all have crystalline structures that conduct energy - light. Etherically, our minds are crystalline, or have the capacity to be. We are the ultimate computer. It is our job now to discover and fully embody this highly advanced divine creation we are all blessed with.
When we look at the light speed progress of the computer age technology we can see the parallels to our own potential for inner advancement. As above, so below. As without, as within.
